  • Why does EiloThek not play file X?
    EiloThek uses the DirectShow API and should play every file which can be played by the Windows Media Player. If some files don't work you need something called a codec to enable any DirectShow player to use this file. For more information about codecs, just visit your local google homepage :)

  • Everytime I try to map a key to something the input window disappears without waiting for my input! Does the input window not like me?
    No, it's a very nice and polite window and generally likes everyone. Since I believe that you don't have any keys stuck on your keyboard, I'll asume that the cause may be a connected input device, like a joystick or gamepad. Sometimes it's just a gamepad lying on the wrong side and therefore pressing some buttons or axis continuesly. Some of these things have also a throttle. This may be set to full power and therefore produce constant axis movements. Just make sure that nothing is pressed and all axises are set to neutral when you want to map functions to something.

  • My video is squished! All the super models look fat! or Why is the fat guy so thin? Did he loose weight?
    No, but sometimes the aspect ratios of video files are not correct. You can try to compensate by trying the different ratios with the Change Aspect Ratio button. And check if you have switched to anamorphic output in the Options Menu if you have a 16:9 monitor or TV as output device.
